Turn an existing audio or video file into a plain-text transcript using the local transcription engine supplied by Yaps desktop. The plugin checks app, sign-in, model, and media-tool readiness; runs the file through Yaps; and saves a reviewable text file without pretending the plugin itself contains a speech model. Requires a local-capable ChatGPT Desktop Work or Codex session; ChatGPT web and cloud sessions cannot reach the installed Yaps engine. Users can also run the feature directly in Yaps.
