Yaps desktop supplies microphone capture, local or cloud transcription, cleanup, context-aware vocabulary, the global shortcut, and text insertion; this plugin provides guided setup, readiness checks, and recent-dictation recovery. Requires a local-capable ChatGPT Desktop Work or Codex session; ChatGPT web and cloud sessions cannot reach the installed Yaps engine. Users can also run the feature directly in Yaps.
