Remember facts across Codex chats, recall prior project context, search and cite private Markdown notes, and safely update a user-owned vault. The plugin, Yaps desktop setup, and trial or Yaps Pro activation can be completed in any order; the private local connection reconciles automatically. Requires a local-capable ChatGPT Desktop Work or Codex session; ChatGPT web and cloud sessions cannot reach the installed Yaps engine. Users can also use the vault directly in Yaps.
